Philip Codd has composed for award winning films, animations, documentaries and dance. His work has been heard in cinemas, on TV, international radio, at exhibitions and festivals. He writes in many styles including classical, electronic, ambient, atmospheric, often combining orchestral/acoustic instrumentation with electronic/sound design elements. He recently wrote the music for John Godber's feature Last Laugh.
He has written and directed award winning films including horror featureThe Shadow Hare and the comedy feature B Negative, selected for international film festivals and distributed by Indie Rights Movies, and shorts The Lazarus Path, A Local Desperado and Of Human Kindness.
He is a founder member of Humber Film, a community of filmmakers who support, encourage and create films in the Humber region of the UK. He also runs the Hull Film Kabaret, a 48 hour film challenge.
